The Sanjay Gandhi National Park or SGNP it is better known, is 108 sq. km. of verdant forest within city limits. Mumbai is one of the few cities in the world to have a designated sanctuary amidst the urban jungle.
The sanctuary is also home to the ancient Buddhist Kanheri caves dating back to 6BC, situated amidst dense jungle with fantastic views from the top.
